Introduction: A vision is created
As with any story, it’s good to start at the beginning! Our visionary is Mark Leafstedt, PE.
- Mark worked for a number of years in the equipment controls arena, where he quickly learned the intricate balance among the various systems within a building, as well as the problems inherent with them.
- Mark conceptualized a company to address those issues and to pursue his passions: solving problems and conserving energy.
- To that end, he and Cristi, Chief Administrative Officer & his life-partner, created a professional engineering firm
 specializing in independent, third party testing and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, climate control, security, and smoke control systems for the construction industry.

The Vision:
A professional Engineering company devoted exclusively to Building Commissioning.
 Mark is a licensed Professional Engineer and Certified Commissioning Provider who has been involved the construction industry since obtaining his BSME in 1979. Mark has been a Professional Engineer since 1984, registered in NV, CO, CA, TX, NM, AZ, & MS. TestMarcx provides Building Commissioning and LEED Consulting services in all these states, to a wide variety of industries and clients.
Mark has personally worked on construction projects for Amgen, Lucent Technologies, Hewlett Packard, Los Alamos National Labs, Sandia National Labs, Caesars Entertainment, MGM/Mirage, Clark County School District, University of Colorado Hospitals, University of California San Francisco, Rockwell International, Symbios Logic, Lockheed Martin Corporation and the Denver Art Museum, among others.
